Cupid
Stupid Cupid
Cupid was that once in a lifetime horse that only the lucky get to experience. You could do anything with her. She competed in Junior rodeo, 4-H both Western and English (jumping and equitation) classes, tail rides, and Team sorting. She was rescued form the livestock auction. She had a tattoo on her upper lip that led us to believe she had been a race horse. She could not find any information on the registry though. It was suggested that she might have been an Indian Relay racehorse.
One night Stephanie's Grandpa thought a calf had gotten out so they went to find it. She took one pasture he took the one next to it, little did she know a cow had just dropped a calf. It charged her, she has to hold onto it's head and run backward to keep from being trampled. Then just when she thought she couldn't go any more, Cupid plowed into the side of the cow. The cow was stunned then realized she left her calf at the other end and went back to it. Cupid saved her life. From that day forward any time Cupid did not want to be caught he hid in the middle of the herd of cows, knowing that Stephanie now had a fear of them.
She could be brat but she never failed her rider. One time when Stephanie decided to practice barrel racing... in an English saddle. Her hat fell off and spooked Cupid. She bolted and Stephanie flew into the pump house. Cupid immediately stopped and went back for her rider.
